The messy mix well off to the east of Buffalo early this morning will not last very long. Little or no accumulation is anticipated though there could be a few slippery spots on sidewalks, parking lots, and on overpasses early. The mixed precipitation will change to just plain rain showers this morning regionwide. On and off rain showers will persist for much of Thursday, though they will become more intermittent in the far western counties, Niagara, Erie, Chautauqua by later afternoon, so the evening commute may not be as wet.
Temperatures hover near 50 Friday and morning clouds give way to some afternoon sun. We’ll be dodging some raindrops this weekend, but it will not be a washout.
A lot of Saturday looks dry with perhaps just a chance of a shower later in the afternoon. More rain showers are likely Sunday which will be more focused toward the Twin Tiers of western New York and northern Pennsylvania. The weather still looks solid for trick or treating on Halloween with dry and reasonably mild weather holding up.
