Police looking for suspects in Buffalo State robbery

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police at Buffalo State College say a strong-arm robbery took place over the weekend.

The robbery happened near Coyer Field along Grant St. around 2:45 a.m. Sunday.

According to university police, a car stopped near a male student when he was walking on the grass. At this time, two males allegedly got out of the car, attacked the victim and took his wallet and phone. They then fled in a car, police say.

After this, police say the student ran to the Student Apartment Complex’s main entrance and called authorities. There, he was treated for minor injuries.

Both men suspected in the robbery were described as black, having facial hair, and wearing black hoodies.

Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to call police at 878-6333.
