Dump truck hits pole, knocks out power in Clarence

CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) — News 4 was at the scene of a dump truck that crashed into a utility pole on Wednesday.

The truck struck a pole along Thompson Rd. in Clarence around 6:45 a.m. As a result, more than 2,700 customers in the town were left without power. More than 200 were without power in Amherst and West Seneca during the morning.

Part of Thompson Rd. was closed off so crews could work at the crash site.
