Sheriff: School bus driver steals purse from casino during field trip

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — After allegedly stealing a purse from the Chestnut Ridge Casino last week, a school bus driver has been charged.

Renee Krohn, 40, was at Chestnut Ridge to drive a bus for a local school’s field trip when Erie County Sheriff’s deputies say she took the purse.

Deputies say they found evidence of the purse being for sale online, which led to Krohn’s arrest.

According to them, she admitted to the theft.

Krohn was charged with petit larceny and released on an appearance ticket. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
