LOCKPORT, NY (WIVB) –  Authorities say a woman was found dead in a burning home.

They’re trying to figure out if the fire on High Street near Akron Road caused her death.

Initially, crews were called to the scene at 650 E. High Street around 3:30 a.m. for reports of a house fire. The home is located near Roy Kelley Elementary.

The woman, later identified as Holly Seiler, 54, was the only one home at the time.

Police began to clear the scene between 8:30 and 9 a.m.

Seiler’s ex-husband, Caleb Bell said his daughter called 911 twice. The first time she called for a domestic dispute between Seiler and her boyfriend. The second call was when she noticed the house on fire.

“I would never want to go the way she did. But she’s at peace now,” the ex-husband said.

The former couple had two children together, the man told News 4.

Lockport police say no one has been taken into custody in relation to Seiler’s death.

The investigation into the fire and Seiler’s death are ongoing.
