Jamestown police investigating stolen car arson

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) — An abnormal discovery in Jamestown has police looking for answers.

Around 4:45 a.m. Friday, Jamestown police say a bypasser noticed a burning car near Lister Ave.

The car, which was stolen from a nearby driveway, was fully engulfed in flames, officials say. The Jamestown fire department had to extinguish it.

Anyone with information on the vehicle is asked to call the anonymous police tip line at 483-TIPS (8477) or Crime Stoppers at 867-6161.

Tipsters may be eligible for a reward.
