DUNKIRK, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Rhode Island man is facing dozens of charges in Dunkirk following a police chase.
Dunkirk police responded to a report of a reckless driver in the areas of Columbus Ave., E. 4th St. and Park Ave. on Wednesday afternoon.
When they made their way to the scene, police spotted Jorge Rivas-Serrano, 22, on a motorcycle.
The motorcyclist spun the vehicle’s back wheel, and when he saw the police, he allegedly fled.
The vehicle chase ended at an address at Columbus Ave., and at that point, police say Rivas-Serrano got off and fled them on foot.
He was eventually caught and charged with a multitude of violations and other crimes.
Overall, Rivas-Serrano was accused of resisting arrest, criminal possession of stolen property, unlawfully fleeing a police officer, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, reckless operating and 29 other vehicle and traffic violations.
The motorcycle was stolen from Boston, Massachusetts, police say.
