Elderly Batavia woman sentenced for drug possession

BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) — After admitting to fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, an elderly woman was sentenced to five years of probation.

Laura Viehdeffer took a plea deal in August after authorities in Genesee County accused her of being a drug dealer at age 84.

The Batavia woman previously faced a controlled substance sale charge when she was accused of selling hydrocodone pills.
