Authorities find pipes after report of possible bombs in Jeep

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo police headed out to Miami St. around Noon Wednesday to investigate possible pipe bombs.

The items were found in a repossessed Jeep in a lot near the 100 block of the street. They just turned out to be pipes, authorities later revealed.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office’s bomb squad responded to the scene as authorities closed the road.

Later in the afternoon, the manager of Nu Era Auto Recovery told News 4 that the bomb scare was over.
