TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police in the Town of Tonawanda have located a suspicious green/blue van in relation to an incident involving a young teen boy.

Police say the van, which was either a damaged Dodge Caravan or Plymouth Voyager, sat a few houses away from where the 13-year-old got off the bus at Talbot and Northwood.

The boy walked past the van, which police say was occupied by “an older white male with long gray hair.” According to police, the driver stared at the boy and revved the vehicle’s engine.

As the boy went up a driveway, police say the man continued to stare at him and then pulled up, stopping directly in front of the house.

The man left, police say, when the boy came out and took a picture of him staring at the residence.

Anyone with further information on the incident is asked to call Det. Salonikis at 879-6636 and reference complaint number 161-646659.
