NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. (WIVB) — A woman was arrested after police say she threatened to blow up her daughter’s school Wednesday afternoon.

The Niagara County Sheriff’s office says 28-year-old Chaqua C. Bembo became upset during a phone call with a school official when she threatened to “blow up the school.” The school issued a “hold in place” while the Sheriff’s Department searched the school. Officers did not find anything suspicious.

Bembo was arrested and charged with falsely reporting an incident. She will appear in Lewiston Town Court on November 10th.
