BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Buffalo Sabres have lost another key contributor for an extended period of time.
First it was Jack Eichel. Then it was Evander Kane.
Now it’s defenseman Zach Bogosian.
Head coach Dan Bylsma announced on Thursday that Bogosian will miss “weeks” with an MCL sprain, suffered during Tuesday’s 2-1 win in Minnesota. Casey Nelson will take Bogosian’s spot in the lineup.
Bogosian has a lengthy injury history, from his time in Winnipeg to his brief stint with the Sabres. He missed 18 games last season in Buffalo and had racked up a number of games missed during his four years with the Jets.
