BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Parents and children got a chance to choose from more than 700 coats Saturday thanks to the Colvin Cleaners Distribution Center on Elmwood Avenue.

Those in need got a chance to take home coats, hats, and gloves all for free!

Paul Billoni started the Coats for Kids program more than 20 years ago. He wanted to help families in need prepare for the tough winter ahead.

Throughout the years, the program has distributed more than 75,000 winter coats.

“Its just so rewarding because we realize how fortunate we are to be able to do things for people who are less fortunate, it makes us feel fabulous,” said Billoni.

Colvin Cleaners is still taking donations. The next chance to donate is on Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at True Bethel Baptist Church on East Delavan.
