Veterans Day Parade serves as a reminder to thank local heroes for their service

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Hundreds of people attended the Veterans Day Parade in Buffalo Saturday.

Two World War I veterans were honored at the parade. Indiana Hunt-Martin and Charles Trinca served as Grand Marshals.

News 4 spoke with John Kasmer, the General Chairman of the parade and a Korean War veteran. Kasmer said the parade is a reminder it’s never too late to thank a veteran.

“We’re honoring all veterans from all constructs,” said Kasmer. “Some of us didn’t have a parade when we came home. Today we’re giving them that parade. Come up and say thank you, thank you for that service, because I think we well deserve that thank you.”
