BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Sabres forward Tyler Ennis will miss several weeks after undergoing surgery for a groin injury.

Ennis did not play Wednesday in the Sabres’ 2-1 loss to Ottawa. He missed most of the 2015-2016 season with concussion issues. In 12 games this season, Ennis has one goal and one assist.

The announcement comes one day after Buffalo got Evander Kane back in the lineup. Ennis had been playing on a line with forwards Sam Reinhart and Zemgus Girgensons before the injury.
