UPDATE: Police clearing mall and no one in custody yet, shots fired in Crossgates Mall

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS 10) – New York State Police say multiple police agencies and air support are on scene at Crossgates Mall currently sweeping inside the mall after reports of shots fired this Saturday afternoon.

Witnesses on scene say the mall is on lockdown and heard shots fired near the Apple store and other stores.

Police are currently evacuating the stores inside the mall.

New York State Police and Sheriff’s office say no one is in custody as of yet, but confirm that two people were detained around 3:30 p.m. but were not arrested.

Guilderland Police Chief confirms that two suspects have been detained earlier were not involved in shooting and have been released. Chief says no one is in custody but are looking for one suspect, unclear if in the mall or not.

More swat and tactical teams are reported to have been sent to the mall for extra support, and are currently working with mall security going store to store.

There are no report of any injuries.
