BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A historic landmark in Buffalo will soon be in the city’s hands.

The Buffalo Common Council authorized the $1 purchase of the Michael J. Dillon Federal Courthouse by Mayor Byron Brown and the City of Buffalo. It was acquired from the U.S. General Services Administration.

The city will officially take ownership of the Court St. building on Wednesday and a special deed-signing ceremony will take place at a future date.
