Bills player becomes U.S. citizen

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — It was a big day for Buffalo Bills player Cyrus Kouandjio and 33 others.

They took the oath of allegiance Thursday morning, and officially became U.S. citizens.

Federal magistrate Michael Roemer presided over the naturalization ceremony.

The candidates say they worked very hard to become citizens and they’re so thankful.

Kouandjio says Buffalo was always important to him, but this is something he will never forget. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
