Police on the lookout for man who approached D’Youville student

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A D’Youville College student notified police after she says a man tried to lure her into his vehicle Thursday morning.

The female student told officers she was approached by an African-American male in his 50’s on Jersey Street on the other side of Niagara Street just before 9:30 a.m. The student says the man tried to lure her into his vehicle and lunged at her before driving away.

The man was reportedly wearing a black jacket and black glasses. The vehicle described is a black 4-door Chevrolet Impala with white and blue New York State license plates. The vehicle was last seen heading southbound on Niagara street toward Downtown.

Anyone with information should contact the Buffalo Police Department.
