BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The public will soon be able to learn more about a grocery store planned for downtown Buffalo.

Ciminelli Real Estate Corporation will hold a public information session about a mixed-use development on Ellicott St. on Dec. 1.

The event will take place at 6 p.m. in the auditorium of the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library at 1 Lafayette Square.

Ciminelli, along with project partners, including Tops and Cannon Design, will reveal details of the plan for the 201 Ellicott St. site.

After the presentation, the public will be able to engage with the project team at information stations in the auditorium’s library.

“We’re seeing great momentum throughout the City of Buffalo, and this development will be yet another vital addition to the region’s urban core,” Denise Juron-Borgese, Ciminelli’s Vice President of Development and Planning, said. “We’re excited to partner with Tops to bring another dynamic, fresh food option to downtown Buffalo, one that will provide convenient access to folks on the City’s adjacent East Side as well as residents and employees in the Central Business District. We hope to welcome a great turnout on December 1st as we present our thoughts and plans to those in and around the area.”

Vouchers for free parking will be available at the event.
