6 children dead in Chattanooga school bus crash

CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE (AP) – A school bus slammed into a tree and split apart Monday, killing at least six children in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

35 schoolchildren were on the bus.

First responders worked for “many hours” to remove all the children from the bus reported CNN.

The ages of the students ranged from kindergarten through fifth grade.

Police are interviewing the bus driver to determine what happened.

The NTSB announced Monday evening it is launching a Go Team to investigate the crash.
