BUFFALO (WIVB) – Two construction workers had to be rescued from the side of a building early Monday morning.
Buffalo fire was called to the corner of Main and High Streets just before 7 a.m.
Officials tell us the workers became trapped on the exterior of UB’s Jacob’s School of Medicine several stories in the air.
A pully malfunction apparently caused one side of a long platform to give way. The workers, who were in harnesses, were hanging for a short time.
We’re told both workers did make it down safely after being rescued by a subcontractor with a bucket truck.
The workers were examined by medical personnel and determined to be okay.
