Buffalo Police officers serve up Thanksgiving meals

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo Police officers and volunteers prepared hundreds of meals for low-income housing residents Tuesday.

The police department’s housing unit organized the dinner for people in the Langfield Homes. Residents were able to enjoy their dinner at the Martha Mitchell Community Center or take one to-go.

“We’re just excited about things that are going on, able to partnership with the buffalo police department, and making things happen with the kids, with the families, and enjoying it, everyone should be able to enjoy thanksgiving, and have someone to enjoy it with,” Pastor Al Wilson said.

Organizers also delivered meals to residents with disabilities who were not able to make it to the dinner.
