SHERMAN, N.Y. (WIVB) — Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies are asking for help finding people accused of stealing cemetery documents from the Town of Sherman Office.

Deputies say the documents are “worth nothing to a person,” but are “priceless” to the town. A safe containing them was stolen on Sept. 15 around midnight.

The Sheriff’s Office released surveillance photos of the suspects in the crime, and is offering two separate rewards in the case.

Anyone with information can be eligible for a $1,000 reward by calling WE TIP at 1(800) 782-7463 or the Town of Sherman. Investigator Randy Boland can be reached at 753-4925.
