Two arrested during drug raids, stolen guns and drugs recovered

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two high level drug dealers are off the streets after law enforcement officials recover guns and drugs from a Buffalo home.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit along with Buffalo police arrested two people Thursday night during drug raids throughout the city. Deputies raided at least 10 homes in the Riverside area.

31 year-old Larry Willis and 33 year-old Isiah Pierce are facing weapon and gun charges. Here are the specifics:

Pierce is charged with:

    • 2 counts of criminal possession of a narcotic greater than 8 ounces
    • 2 counts of criminal possession of narcotics with intent to sell
    • 2 counts of criminal possession of a load firearm
    • 1 count of criminal possession of 3 or more firearms
    • 3 counts of criminal possession of weapon while committing drug trafficking
    • 1 count of criminal possession of weapon following a previous conviction
    • 1 count of criminal possession of a stolen property
    • 1 count of criminal possession of a controlled substance
    • 1 count of concealing/destroying evidence
    • 3 Misdemeanor charges for criminal use of drug paraphernalia
    • Violation for unlawful possession of marijuana

Willis is charged with:

    • 1 count of criminal possession of narcotics with intent to sell
    • 1 count of criminal possession of narcotics
    • 1 count of criminal possession of a loaded firearm
    • 1 count of criminal possession of weapon following a previous conviction
    • 2 counts of criminal possession of weapon while committing drug trafficking
    • 1 count of criminal possession of a stolen property
    • 1 count of criminal possession of a controlled substance  – cocaine
    • 1 count of concealing/destroying evidence
    • 3 misdemeanor charges for criminal use of drug paraphernalia
    • 3 misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance

Deputies recovered three handguns, two rifles, about 14 ounces of crack cocaine, heroin, suspected fentanyl, packaging materials and scales from 70 Henrietta Street.

ECSO deputies told News 4, one of the rifles and one of the handguns were stolen. Officials also say one of the guns contained rounds of ammunition that could penetrate bulletproof vests.

Investigators were working on this investigation for the past six months. They say it’s a big success to the department to get the drugs and weapons off the streets.

Deputies say both men are a danger to the community with prior felony convictions.

Authorities say additional arrests are possible. The investigation is on-going.

More than 40 officers took part in Thursday night’s raids.
