Man poses as TWC employee, attempts to invade home in Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo Police are investigating an attempted home invasion. Police say a man posing as a Time Warner Cable employee tried entering a home on Gatchell Avenue around 7 p.m. Saturday.

Police say the man was wearing a Time Warner Cable shirt and had an ID. Police say the homeowner called the cable company to verify, and they were told the man did not work for them.

When police arrived on the scene the man fled.

This incident follows another on Thursday when a person posing as a utility worker entered a home on Normal Avenue and assaulted the homeowner.

Buffalo police remind everyone when someone comes to your door to be extremely cautious and call authorities immediately if you are suspicious.
