Teen charged with burglary after Orchard Park school incident

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — Shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday, multiple alarm zones were activated at Orchard Park Middle School, prompting police in the village to take action.

Authorities searched the outside of the S. Lincoln Ave. building. Maintenance personnel went inside the building and said that they found evidence that someone else went inside.

A foot pursuit of a juvenile suspect began shortly after this. Eventually, a 14-year-old Orchard Park resident was caught in a nearby wooded lot.

They were charged with burglary, petit larceny, possession of stolen property and possession of burglar’s tools.

Police are investigating the incident.
