Buffalo police officer involved in crash

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo police officer was involved in a crash in the southern part of the city Wednesday morning.

The crash happened at an M&T Bank branch on Dorrance Ave. just after 9:30 a.m.

The officer, who was responding to a call at the bank, came around the side of a building and avoided a vehicle going in the wrong direction.

As the officer swerved away from the other vehicle, he crashed into a pole.

After the crash, the officer was taken to ECMC to be treated for a laceration on his forehead.
