Police chief shot in Orange County

MAYBROOK, N.Y. (WIVB) — A police chief was shot during a standoff in Orange County.

Specifically, the shooting took place in Maybrook.

It is not clear how badly Maybrook Police Chief Arnold “Butch” Amthor was injured.

One person who Troopers say is related to the shooting is barricaded inside a residence.

New York State Police are investigating the incident.
