South Buffalo School briefly evacuated for natural gas smell

SOUTH BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Notre Dame Academy at Abbott Road near Dorrance was briefly evacuated Tuesday after a strong odor of natural gas filled the building.

Students and staff were escorted outside for about an hour until the smell dissipated.

The smell originated from work being done by National Fuel on a major gas line  in the area. the entire neighborhood smelled like natural gas. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
