Buffalo Police Underwater Recovery Team rescues historic marker


BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Buffalo Police’s Underwater Recovery Team recovered a historic sign marking the birthplace of the grain elevator.

According to a Buffalo Police Department Facebook post, the sign had been vandalized and thrown into the river.

“Thanks to the Under Water Rescue and Recovery Team for their great work recovering this important piece of Buffalo’s history,” the post read.
