BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — For the first time, The Wilkeson Pointe at the Outer Harbor is throwing a two-day celebration for the 4th of July.
It officially kicked off Monday afternoon and runs through Tuesday evening.
It’s a mini carnival for the entire family. There will be rides, games, water sport and bike rentals, a beer garden and lots of food. Visitors can also check out street performers, jugglers, face painting and balloon art.
It is free admission. Parking is also free, but it is limited.
The Outer Harbor Management Group told News 4 that the celebration is a way for people to visit the Outer Harbor that is often forgotten.
“We really feel like the Outer Harbor is a hidden gem, people are still learning about this area, specifically Wilkeson Pointe, so being able to partner with companies like Hammerl to bring in family friendly events just works and we just want people to know about this beautiful site and be able to enjoy it,” said Beth Potozniak, GM for Outer Harbor Management Group.
The celebration will last until 7 Monday night and resume Tuesday from 11 am to 10 pm. Fireworks will start around 10 pm.
