Western New Yorkers are watching one of our own on the 19th season of CBS’ Big Brother. Grand Island native and personal trainer Mark Jansen has made it through the first week of the reality show. Host Julie Chen told News 4’s Christy Kern how she thinks Jansen is doing so far.
“I think he’s one of the most lovable house guests this season. At first glance, just based on his physique, he looks intimidating, but then you see that sweet face of his,” Chen said about Jansen. “And we’ve seen him falling for Elena, the disc jockey from Dallas, and they’re very cute together.”
Chen also said Jansen is playing the game very genuinely so far.
“[He also] has a very sweet side. He was talking on last night’s episode about how he lost both his parents. His mother was his world and he lost his mom when he was 17. He was trying to comfort another house guest, Josh from Miami, who missed his home and missed his parents. He was like ‘listen, when you go home you have your parents. When I go home, I have nobody.’ Wow. He’s very [easy to root for,] so Go Mark,” Chen said.
Big Brother airs Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday nights on CBS.
