WATCH: Lost dog returns to family mid-interview

GEORGIA (WIVB) — A family in Georgia feels much better now that they have their dog back at their side, after what’s been a tough couple of weeks.

Recently, Will Rumley lost his wife. Then, his German Shepherd ran away over the holiday weekend.

He was afraid that he would never see him again, but then, the unimaginable happened.

Judo, the dog, returned home, right in the middle of an interview.

“I feel like part of my heart is back in place that was once gone after he left,” Rumley said.

Judo found his way back home unharmed and greeted his family with hugs and kisses.

Local officials say around 34 dogs and cats in Will Rumley’s area have shown up to the local shelter since Friday, but the Rumleys are happy to have their furry friend back, safe and sound provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
