VARYSBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) – Several arrests were made at the Jam in the Valley festival in Varysburg Thursday to Saturday.
Jam in the Valley is a three-day country music festival held at Buffalo Hill.
A 17-year-old from Angola was arrested both Thursday and Friday- on Thursday for third degree assault after unlawfully entering the property and biting a Southern Tier Security Officer attempting to reprehend her, and Friday with third degree identity theft for attempting to identify herself as another. She was arraigned both nights in Town of Sheldon Court and committed to Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $150 bail Thursday and $750 on Friday.
Charles Loster, 35, of Buffalo, was charged Saturday with second degree assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after being approached by Wyoming County Sheriff’s deputies and a New York State Trooper for disorderly behavior and resisting arrest, during which a deputy suffered a minor injury to the orbital area in the scuffle. Loster was arraigned and held without bail. The deputy was able to resume his duties.
Also arrested were the following:
- A 20-year-old North Collins woman was charged with unlawful possession of alcohol on Friday. She was issued an appearance ticket and released.
- A 34-year-old Buffalo man was charged with first degree unlawful dealing with a child Friday for providing alcohol to a minor. He was arraigned in Town of Sheldon Court and committed to Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $750 bail.
- A 34-year-old Elma woman was charged with third degree assault and fourth degree criminal mischief following a domestic incident in the campground area. She was arraigned in Town of Sheldon Court and released.
- A 45-year-old Lockport woman was arrested for disorderly conduct for causing a disturbance in the concert venue. She was issued an appearance ticket and removed from the event.
