7-year-old struck in hit and run shows signs of improvement

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- 7-year-old Tremont Seals is showing signs of improvement after being struck in a hit and run last week on Loring Avenue.

The boy was found lying in the street, bleeding from his head according to police. The incident occurred on Loring Avenue near the Kensington and Humdoldt Parkway.

“He has a feeding tube, most of the tubes and everything that he had is gone, he’s giving us some voluntary movement. He’s responding to dad, telling him to squeeze his hand, lift his thumb, and things like that,” his mother Tameka Jones told us.

Buffalo police are still searching for the suspected car and the driver they believe was involved.

“It’s hard not having answers, but you know, we kind of are really praying for the driver because we know that eventually you know, Tremont will get justice,” Jones said.

Anyone with information that could help police is urged contact the Buffalo Police Department through its confidential tip-line, 716-847-2255.
