CUPERTINO, Calif. (WIVB) — If you’re pining for the newest iPhone, prepare to pay a pretty penny.

Technology experts are estimating the new iPhone may cost $1,200 or more.

There are also rumors on the handset’s new design. Developers have created mock-ups of the phone’s touch screen dominating the entire front side of the phone — a trend consistent with competing smartphones.

The redesigned iPhone is expected to launch this Fall to mark the device’s tenth anniversary. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
