Study: Americans spend nearly $73 billion looking for parking each year

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A new study says Americans spend nearly $73 billion annually searching for parking.

Inrix Research found on average, drivers spend 17 hours looking for a parking space at a cost of $345 in wasted time, fuel and emissions.

The study shows New York City leads the way at 107 hours per year, followed by Los Angeles at 85 and San Francisco at 83.
