Heroin, meth found following loud exhaust traffic stop in Jamestown


JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) – A 23-year-old Jamestown man was charged with drug possession following an early Monday morning traffic stop on W 3rd Street and Cherry Street.

Police pulled over Daniel R. McKay, for a loud exhaust. During the investigation, it was found that McKay had a suspended NY driver’s permit and is on NYS Parole.

While being taken into custody, he was found to be in possession of a quantity of heroin, methamphetamine, and cash. McKay is charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh degree possession of a controlled substance, second degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, and inadequate muffler. He was held pending arraignment.
