Woman facing charges after causing disturbance in Erie County gov’t building

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Buffalo woman is facing charges after creating a disturbance at the Rath Building.

Erie County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Rath Building July 14 for a report of a disorderly woman on the fourth floor. The woman, Kellie Clay, 32, of Buffalo, was demanding Erie County employees provide her with a form of photo ID.

While investigating, deputies found that Clay had outstanding warrants from the city of Buffalo and took her into custody. While searching her, they found that she was in possession of two credit cards later found to have been stolen.

Clay was arrested and charged with criminal possession of stolen property and a misdemeanor count of criminal mischief.

She was held in lieu of $5,000 bail or bond and the sheriff’s office notified the Buffalo Police Department about her incarceration.
