Three Democratic mayoral candidates face off in final debate

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Buffalo’s three Democratic mayoral candidates faced off for the final time Wednesday night.

The Democratic primary election will be held Tuesday.

Incumbent mayor Byron Brown and challengers Betty Jean Grant and Mark Schroeder faced off on issues such as zoning regulations, violence in the city, and lead poisoning. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
