BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Twenty-nine rescue dogs from several Houston shelters officially arrived in Western New York!
Three local animal rescues made the long journey to Texas last week.
The dogs rescued were already up for adoption before Hurricane Harvey. No animal was taken from an owner or family.
Houston shelters needed to make space for dogs found during the hurricane that were already owned by people living in the area, otherwise the dogs up for adoption would have been euthanized.
Each dog was crated and placed on a 32 foot RV for the ride back to western New York.
