3 injured in accident at E. Amherst and Bailey

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Three people were injured in a vehicle accident at E. Amherst St. and Bailey Ave.

The accident involved two vehicles. It happened just before 12:30 p.m. at Bailey Avenue and E. Amherst Street.

Police say one vehicle was traveling east on East Amherst and making a left onto Bailey, while another was traveling north on Bailey when the two vehicles collided.

After the two vehicles collided, the vehicle that was traveling on East Amherst struck a building, causing structural damage to the building.

One of the vehicles caught fire. Out of the three people who were injured, the driver of the burning car was hurt the most, according to a witness.

At the scene, News 4 learned that a woman pulled another woman out of a vehicle involved in the crash.

No charges have been filed at this time. The accident remains under investigation.
