Bills fall to Jets 34-21 on Thursday Night football

The Bills drop to 5-3 on the season with the divisional loss.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Bills finally were brought back to earth with a 34-21 loss to the Jets on Thursday night.

All three phases of the game failed for Buffalo, quarterback Tyrod Taylor was sacked 7 times, the offense turned the ball over three times, and their defense was unable to force a turnover.

In the run game LeSean McCoy had one of his worst performances of the season, as he was held to just 25 yards rushing.

Despite not having Kelvin Benjamin in the line up, Taylor threw for 285 yards and two touchdowns. The first of which went to rookie receiver and second round pick Zay Jones, who scored his first touchdown of his NFL career.

The Jets pulled away in the third quarter, when Josh McCown hit Robby Anderson for a touchdown to make it a 17-7 Jets lead.

The Jets run game was provided with a 1-2 punch of Matt Forte and Bilal Powell who combined for 151 yards and two touchdowns. As a unit, the Jets rushed for 194 yards.

With the loss the Bills fall to 5-3, they host the New Orleans Saints on November 12th.
