Arrest made in morning hit and run accident at Colvin and Hertel

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo Police have made an arrest in a hit and run accident that occurred early Tuesday morning at Colvin Boulevard and Hertel Avenue.

A 32-year-old Buffalo woman fled the scene after her vehicle struck another vehicle traveling on Colvin just before 7:45 a.m. Tuesday morning after the woman pulled out of a driveway in the 300 block of Colvin Boulevard.

The vehicle that was struck slid before landing on its side. The driver, a 68-year-old Buffalo woman, had to be extricated from the vehicle. She was transported to ECMC where she was treated and released.

The 32-year-old driver fled the scene, but was located by police in the 300 block of Linden Avenue a short time later. She was charged with criminal possession of narcotics, reckless driving, and leaving the scene of an accident. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
