Attica police suspend search for man who escaped Village Court

ATTICA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Village of Attica police have suspended the search for a man who ran from Attica Village Court Friday morning.

Dylan Perry, 25, was in court for an arraignment when he left through the back door. He is facing misdemeanor charges for criminal trespassing and aggravated unlicensed operation.

He had been picked up in the Town of Bennington, but there was no judge there, so that’s why he was brought to Attica.

Perry is currently on probation in Monroe County, where he lives.

Sources tell News 4 that Perry does not pose a danger to the public. New York State Police, the Department of Environmental Conservation and the Genesee County Sheriff’s office helped in the search for him.

The Alexander and Attica school districts were on lockout as a precautionary measure. No one could enter or leave the buildings during that time.
