Woman in custody after incident in Town of Concord

TOWN OF CONCORD, N.Y. (WIVB) — A woman is in custody after an incident on Brown Hill Rd. in the Town of Concord.

Officials received a call about a domestic incident with a possibly barricaded person Wednesday around 8 a.m.

The road was closed between Pfarner and Trevett roads as New York State Police and the Erie County Sheriff’s office responded to the scene.

After calling in a crisis negotiator, the woman who was inside the residence came out peacefully around 10 a.m.

Her name was not released, and it is not clear whether or not she will face charges.

During the time of the incident, State Police say there was no threat to the public.

When the 911 call was made, authorities say a man and his 10-year-old son left the residence in a vehicle.

The man was identified as the woman’s husband. Officials have spoken with him.

State Police say there were no injuries to report and that they are still in the preliminary stages of their investigation.
