BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Goodwill is having a bridal sale on Sunday, March 4.
The sale will take place at the Goodwill Retail Store at 1119 William St. in Buffalo from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
New gowns with tags are $50 and gently used ones are $25.

“It came about because we have so many great donors that donate wonderful things all the time and lately we’ve been seeing a lot of wedding gowns coming through so we thought why not,” said Linda Maraszek, Goodwill of WNY Marketing Manager.
Shopping for a wedding dress can be stressful because of the big price tag, but at Goodwill of Western New York you could buy one brand new for just $50.
“Instead of spending a thousand dollars on a dress you could put that towards your photographer, you could put it towards your music, your food,” said Christine Black, Shop Goodwill Manager.
A wide variety of 200 wedding gowns are for sale including designer gowns like Maggie Sottero and Mori Lee.
“We have vintage 70’s dresses, we have 50’s dresses, we have high end brand new dresses. I opened up a dress that was sealed from 2016 so it’s not even that old,” said Black.
Bridesmaids dresses and formal wear are also for sale at a low price and gown donations are still being accepted.
“You have a dress in your closet or in a box in the attic it might make someone’s day so we are still accepting dresses at all of our 11 retail locations,” said Maraszek.
Each dress that’s purchased supports programs at the Goodwill that help put people in our community to work.
“The population we serve are people who have what we call barriers to employment and these are people who need a hand up to help them get on their feet and be able to find work,” said Maraszek.
